More Than a Physical Token of Appreciation

While a physical ceremonial key is a fantastic keepsake to showcase in an office or home, having an equivalent digital or Non Fungible one provides more value.

Our NFT version of the Keys to the City is issued permanently onto the blockchain. The person receiving the honor can showcase their City key in any Ethereum based wallet/website that supports Polygon and allows NFTs to be viewed.

While the issuance sets an exciting precedent, we plan to provide extra functionality for those who own the keys — potentially getting access to unique content, participating in communities, or being validated as a holder of the key.

The 'Key to the City' is presented to esteemed visitors, residents, or others whom the city wishes to honor. This practice is a variation on the freedom of the city tradition and has a similar symbolic meaning. Evoking medieval walled cities, the gates of which would be guarded during the day and locked at night, the key symbolizes the freedom of the recipient to enter and leave the city at will, as a trusted friend of city residents.
